In the teaching Home Economics, a programme based on Cultural Food enables students to engage in learning that develops an understanding of the determinants of health (influences on food choices) as well as attitudes, values and beliefs around food. There are a variety of ways in which students can progress to NCEA Level 1 – AS 90958. The purpose of this resource is to provide teachers with a comprehensive collection of teaching strategies and learning activities, as well as links to other useful resources.
